With news events trading there are basically two areas where investors can benefit by trading the news. Firstly the macro news items, such as interest rate decisions, economic releases and central bank meeting minutes, would affect currencies and indices in a major way, as well as stocks. Prices can be volatile before and immediately after these major announcements.
